Let's face it. We're the farm club for the NFL. The few times we draft a good player, once the rookie contract is up, Mike Goodwill won't pony up the money to retain a quality player and off they go to have a great career somewhere with a real NFL team.
I'm not 100% sure but when the Bidwill's became owners of the cardinals, it was a contributing factor for abolishing prohibition

Neither did Zac Taylor (took Bengals to both the Super Bowl and AFCCG), Kevin O’Connell (2024 Head Coach of the Year), nor Liam Coen (led the Jaguars to 13-4 in his first season).
Shane Waldron is part of the McVay tree and struggles to keep a job

Looks like he was ket to in Seattle and Chicago when he bosses were blow out of town. Can't really fault him. Geno played well under him as OC in Seattle. Lawrence played well this year in Jax.

Why is it good? Because he spent 2 years with the Rams? He doesn't call the plays, McVay does. Prior to the Rams he spent 2 years as the Jets OC where their offense was bottom of the league both seasons.

Just curious what makes him an exciting candidate.
The awfulness of Zach Wilson is mainly to blame to blame for those offensive problems with the Jets.

Mostly he's not dumb retreads like Saleh and Arthur Smith. I mean, gimme a break, Arthur Smith would be only slightly better than hiring Cheese to coach the team. Also, he may not call the plays, but he has been brought up in the system and taught by one of the best in the business. That can wash some stink off an OC stint.
I'd definitely prefer Robert Saleh over Arthur Smith. :) Arthur Smith...ugh. :bang: :help:

I think my favorite candidates at this point are Klint Kubiak and Mike LaFleur though. :)
Let's see Cheese coach the team! :thewave:
