Just like this year, this is going to make the Thunder more vulnerable come playoff time. This is how the league works now even when you make it to the top. The penalty for winning a title is that you won't be able to hold onto your roster any longer.

NBA teams are going to have to get really adept at "next man" up and replacing your rosters with equivalent of what you lost similar to the NFL.

However, OKC is loaded with draft picks and talent. They can just reload and reconstitute itself with young talent.

And we did not even see rookie FC Thomas Sorber due to injury.

Having the ability to do it and executing it are two different things. For example, in the NFL the Steelers made a living for decades letting high priced, high profile guys go and drafting replacements. If your team is good at it, you will continue your success. If not? Enjoy your success while you can.

This is true. However, as long as OKC builds around Shai and defense they should be good.
