I guess he must be doing something right to afford this, although he could have earned a lot more.
Morey was in a tough spot. Probably best he is let go as Philly is hamstrung by Embiid. I know they got swept but I don't think anyone predicted them getting past Boston so ultimately it seems weird to expect more.

Ringer article about the rapid increase in soft tissue leg injuries. They are speculating the reason is in the old days everyone played off 2 legs but the advent of the euro step and modern footwork has lots of players playing more off one leg and it's dramatically increasing leg injuries
Former Warriors assistant talking as Klay was going through rehab for his 2nd leg injury said this
“Basketball used to be a two-footed sport,” Adams said. The room locked in. “If you ever watched a John Wooden practice, it was always the same: get to the paint and play off of two feet. Nowadays, the game is a one-footed sport. Most players are making every move off of one foot.”
Adams’s observation was basic but profound. He was exactly right. The footwork in basketball is drastically different now than it was a few decades ago.

The Pelicans believe the franchise is at a point similar to Mosley's leadership and development plan when he took over the rebuilding Magic in 2021 after a 21-win season. It led to season-by-season improvement, then playoff appearances. In Orlando, Mosley built teams anchored by strong defenses, with the Magic ranked No. 3 overall in 2023-24 and No. 2 overall in 2024-25.
