The New York Giants have requested an interview with Denver Broncos passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb for their vacant offensive coordinator position, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Webb, a rising star in coaching circles, recently interviewed for head coaching vacancies with the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills. He has also drawn offensive coordinator interview requests from the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens, in addition to the Giants.
A former Giants third-round pick in 2017, Webb had two stints with the team as a quarterback, including starting the 2022 season finale against the Eagles. He retired after that year to join Sean Payton's staff in Denver, where he has earned praise for his work with Russell Wilson and rookie Bo Nix.
Wilson previously predicted Webb would soon become an offensive coordinator and eventually a head coach.
The Giants' interest in Webb comes as Todd Monken, long considered the frontrunner for the role, draws significant interest from the Cleveland Browns for their head coaching vacancy, potentially shifting New York's search.
