New York Giants injury report: Andrew Thomas sidelined with hamstring issue

The New York Giants took the field on Wednesday for their first of three practices ahead of a Week 17 game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST.

Beforehand, interim head coach Mike Kafka updated the status of several injured players, including left tackle Andrew Thomas, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained last week against the Minnesota Vikings.

"Yeah, he's not going to go today. We'll just kind of see how it feels. He's got a couple days here to see how it looks," Kafka told reporters.

In addition to Thomas, Kafka revealed center John Michael Schmitz and safety Tyler Nubin were among a group who would not participate in practice.

"We'll rest them today. They won't go today," Kafka said. "Everyone else will get some work done."
