New York Giants coach John Harbaugh provided an update on Malik Nabers’ injury status after the team’s final mandatory minicamp practice on Wednesday.

While speaking with reporters, Harbaugh said that Nabers is progressing well in his recovery from a torn ACL suffered in Week 4 of last season.

"I think he does everything he can. He said his plan is to be here most of the time; almost all the time he'll be here, I believe. I don’t think he will be here all the time. He's going to be here a lot, working really hard. He's making really good progress right now. I'm very hopeful that he'll be back soon," Harbaugh said.

"Also, understand when you come back from a knee, he'll be back, and he'll still be building his way back to his ultimate full strength self. But he's doing great. He's doing a great job. He's made some real good progress in the last few weeks."

Although he echoed general manager Joe Schoen's recent optimism, Harbaugh stressed that recovering from a torn ACL is a "slog.""It's a grind. He's still in the middle of it. He's probably not in the middle of it now. He's probably maybe 70 percent through. I don't know, something like that. 80 percent through," he said. "He's still grinding. It's going to be a grind when he starts playing again too to get back right."

Nabers missed the final 13 games of the 2025 regular season because of the injury. He finished the year with 271 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns for the Giants.

New York is scheduled to open training camp in the last week of July, providing Nabers with ample time to continue his ACL rehabilitation. The Louisiana native will look to regain the form he showed during his standout rookie season in 2024, when he recorded 1,204 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns.
