The New York Giants selected Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Mauigoa was widely regarded as the top available offensive lineman heading into draft night. The rookie will begin his NFL career in New York with significant expectations. The former Miami star excels in space, thanks to his massive 6-foot-6, 315-pound frame, which combines elite speed and athleticism despite his size.

Mauigoa recently shared his thoughts on his style of play, noting that pulling is one of his favorite aspects of the position.

“I love that, man,” he said. “Going back to my Miami time, anytime I got to some space I wanted to make something. The second level is where I kind of feel like I display my athleticism. So yeah, getting out, creating space and making blocks is something that I like to do. Pulling is something I really like just because you’re running full speed and the defense doesn’t know where you’re coming from.”

Mauigoa has shifted inside to right guard this spring, where he is expected to start alongside Jermaine Eluemunor. The former Miami lineman has proven he can thrive in both the run game and on the move. He could undoubtedly emerge as the next big star on the Giants’ offensive line in 2026 and beyond.

The big man will play a critical role in protecting star quarterback Jaxon Dart this season as he looks to shine throughout training camp this summer.
