This came shortly after extending Adofo-Mensah, which left some surprised, but fans were thankful for the move. However, the franchise would choose not to hire a GM until after the draft, a move that left some confused.

Minnesota would bring in Nolan Teasley from the Seattle Seahawks to fill the role of General Manager. Teasley spent the last three seasons as the Seahawks Assistant General Manager, after spending almost a decade in scouting.
