A surveillance video depicting how Gervonta "Tank" Davis grabbed his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, by the neck and hair was played in a Florida courtroom on Tuesday.
The footage — made up of eight clips — was shown during a hearing which determined that Rossel could seek $5 million in punitive damages against Davis after a dispute between the pair last year.
Rossel accused Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a civil lawsuit this past October, related to an incident that occurred on Oct. 27 at Tootsie’s, a Miami strip club.
The TMZ-obtained video shows Davis grabbing Rossel by the hair and pushing her out of a backstage hallway at 3:51 a.m. on the day of the alleged altercation. The pair was accompanied by another individual.
In the video, Davis continues to push Rossel through the kitchen service elevator area and down the stairs. Rossel turns to face Davis and appears to plead with him to stop, but Davis appears to continue forcefully pushing her through a set of stairs before exiting an exterior door and into a parking lot.
The video then shows Rossel fleeing back into the club once Davis stops holding her.
"Your honor, you can see what happened," an attorney for Rossel argued. "What happened is consistent with the affidavit she gave to the police."
Alongside the civil suit, Davis was arrested in January for battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping. Prosecutors dropped the false imprisonment charge this past week because, according to TMZ, they believed it was redundant with the kidnapping charge still remaining.
"Tank" filed a counterclaim last week, seeking more than $20 million in damages. The star boxer argues that Rossel's allegations cost him a sizable amount of money because his scheduled Netflix fight with Jake Paul was canceled following the accusations being made public. Davis was also stripped of his WBA lightweight world title following the issuance of an arrest warrant by Miami police over the charges.
Rossel claimed she was a victim of domestic violence on multiple occasions during her five-month relationship with Davis prior to the incident.
Davis' legal team issued the following statement to TMZ after Tuesday's video surfaced:
Rossel's allegation is not the first time Davis has been accused of domestic violence. Most recently, the controversial boxer was charged in 2025 with striking an ex-girlfriend on the back of the head and then slapping her during an alleged dispute on Father's Day. The case was ultimately dropped after the woman declined to prosecute.
