METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The New Orleans Saints released the list of local nonprofits and charities that will benefit from the team’s 50/50 raffles this season.
It’s the 11th year for the raffles. Tickets are sold at games or online. You have until the end of the third quarter to buy your tickets, and a random winning ticket number is announced in the fourth quarter.
Prices start at $2 a ticket. But the more you buy, the less they cost. For example, five tickets cost $10, but 500 tickets cost $200.
Xavier University ranks high on Forbes list of Top HBCUs
You have to be 18 years old and physically present in Louisiana to purchase the tickets.
The more tickets that are sold, the higher the jackpot grows. Each jackpot is split 50/50 with the winning ticket holder and the charity beneficiary selected for that game.
Here’s a list of the beneficiaries for each game:
- Aug. 15, New Orleans Recreation Development Commission and Jefferson Parish Parks and Rec.
