The new league year is right around the corner for the NFL. Teams are trying to lock in their free agents to deals for 2026 — and beyond.
Some teams are also moving on from players. The New Orleans Saints appear to be content with the decision of one of their star players.

All-Pro defensive lineman Cameron Jordan has decided to forgo the Saints’ contract offers and will hit free agency. This will be the first time in his career that he is a free agent.
Jordan, who was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, has been nothing less than a legend for the Saints. He was selected as an All-Pro twice and to the Pro Bowl eight times in his decorated career.
Jordan wanted to remain in New Orleans. However, reports indicate that the offers he received were not very strong ones.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Saints’ legend isn’t seeking “top dollar”, but certainly wants to be valued. This is understandable, as at 37, Jordan continues to produce.

After two down years, Jordan recorded 10.5 sacks to bring his career total to 132. He will have a good market as teams are always looking for a strong pass rusher. Another 10 sack season could put him sixth all-time in NFL history.
