NEVADA, MO. — The Nevada Griffons played host to the North Missouri Naturals in Game 3 of the series, falling 11-7.

North Missouri had the first word of the ballgame. With the bases loaded, the Naturals found the infield gap, bringing home two runs.

A few plays later, they continued their groove on offense, launching the ball to left field to extend their early lead to 4-0 in the top of the first.

On the mound for Nevada, Tavian Gomez answered with a strikeout to end the top of the first in style.

Now the Griffons up to bat, and Mac West got things going offensively with a hit that slipped right under the third baseman for a single.

A few plays later, Caden Klumpp’s hit couldn’t be handled as the Naturals couldn’t get the out at first, allowing the Griffons to capitalize by scoring their first run of the game.

Nevada kept the offense rolling as Jaden Whetzell’s hit was a sac-fly, but Klumpp tagged up on third and scored, pulling the Griffons within one run of tying the game.

The Naturals surged in the fourth inning with seven runs, sealing the deal over the Griffons.
