CHICAGO — After Alabama basketball’s Sweet 16 loss to Michigan, fans knew Labaron Philon’s time in crimson could be coming to an end.
The sophomore point guard returned to Tuscaloosa for another season after initially declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft after his freshman debut, making his comeback decision with just seconds to the deadline.
Now, Philon has gone through another year of growth, and he's had another year to think about his future — but he says he hasn’t been doing that much as of late.
When asked if he had thought about whether he was done in Title Town, Philon said, “Not really.”

“Just really been thinking about Alabama basketball,” Philon said.
Philon averaged 21.6 points and 5.0 assists per game as he led the Crimson Tide to its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament.
In the latest mock draft from USA Today, Philon was projected to go No. 12 overall to the Golden State Warriors.
Alabama “means everything” to the Mobile native.
“The whole program really just showed me love ever since I got here two years ago," Philon said.
