Since their season ended with an NBA Play-In Tournament defeat to the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors have been linked to free agent forward LeBron James during free agency. Once rivals with the Warriors, James has developed friendships with Golden State's stars, Steph Curry and Draymond Green. For these reasons in addition to their lack of trade assets, Golden State is currently pursuing the four-time NBA champion.
Recently, the team got a vote of confidence to land the star from longtime NBA writer and analyst Bill Simmons. In a recent discussion with Zach Lowe, Simmons said, "I really feel like if I had to bet my life on a team, I'd think I would bet on them (Warriors). I think that would be the move for me." While this remark doesn't indicate an official decision from James, Simmons' confidence in the former Laker ending up in Golden State is quite intriguing.
