At 41 years young, Joe Flacco is finally a Pro Bowler. Currently with the Cincinnati Bengals, his seventh team, and competing in the NFL since 2008, this is the first-ever Pro Bowl nod for the Baltimore Ravens legend and Super Bowl XLVII MVP. Better late than never for the man who preceded Lamar Jackson.

Obviously, this is far from Flacco's best statistical season, so his selection raised some eyebrows. As did the selection, earlier this week, of Shedeur Sanders, who was teammates with Flacco in Cleveland.

As many NFL observers pointed out on Friday, the Browns became the first team ever to have two Pro Bowl QBs in the same season. Flacco has certainly produced a lot of stellar seasons, so one might call his addition to the Pro Bowl Games this season a sort of "lifetime achievement" award.

Here are some other observations made by the national media on Flacco's selection to the NFL All-Star game-

Joe Flacco has been named to the first Pro Bowl of his career!

This means, along with Shedeur Sanders, the Browns had TWO Pro Bowl QBs on their roster this year. pic.twitter.com/igcbFQnua0

The #Browns had a QB competition between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders in training camp.

Two of those QBs made the #NFL Pro Bowl this season.

Joe Flacco has been named a Pro Bowl QB as an alternate. This means the Cleveland Browns helped produce two Pro Bowl QBs in a single season. Wow!
