The Nashville Predators have signed forward Fedor Svechkov to a two-year, $2.5 million contract extension.

The contract will begin in the 2026-27 season and will carry an annual cap-hit of $1.25 million.

Svechkov, 22, has three goals and 10 assists in 58 games for Nashville this season, his second full season in the NHL. He has 11 goals and 19 assists in 110 games since being drafted No. 19 overall in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Seen as a two-way player, the left-handed center has found a role on the bottom six with Nashville. The Predators have lately used him to anchor the fourth line since trading away center Michael McCarron.

By signing him now, the Predators avoid restricted free agency and potential arbitration with Svechkov. Nashville's only remaining NHL restricted free agent this summer is Justin Barron.
