The NASCAR O'Reilly Series is nearing its first off-weekend during the 2026 season. After the race weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, the O'Reilly Series will have one week off before returning to Pocono Raceway. The NASCAR Cup and Truck Series will race at Michigan International Speedway.

Unlike the Cup and Truck Series, the O'Reilly Series has competed in all 15 NASCAR points weekends, with Nashville representing the 16th overall. While the NASCAR level hasn't had many weeks off, that will change this summer. The O'Reilly Series will have four off-weekends in six weeks between July and August.

The O'Reilly Series arguably has the best on-track racing. The cars allow the drivers to compete to the best of their ability, while the broadcast provides some of the best coverage in NASCAR. It might be disappointing not to see the O'Reilly Series at Michigan, but they all deserve a well-deserved break.
