Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson were fastest in Saturday qualifying and will start on the front row Sunday for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway in Newton. Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five. Current points leader Denny Hamlin was well back in 29th.

Sunday's Iowa Corn 350 cranks the engine on a month of August that will determine the field of 16 drivers and teams who survive the cut and move along to the 2026 Chase, the 10-race postseason that will determine the Cup Series champ.

Iowa, where the track measures seven-eighths of a mile, also begins a run of three straight short-track races, with Richmond (three-quarters of a mile) and New Hampshire (one mile) to follow. The regular season will conclude on the final Saturday of August with anything but a bullring: The 2.5-mile tri-oval at Daytona.
