The NASCAR calendar will once again start at Daytona International Speedway.

Sure, the Daytona 500 will kick off the Cup Series regular season as it always does. But the Clash, the annual preseason exhibition, will return to the World Center of Racing for the first time in six years in 2027, according to a report from The Athletic.

The race is scheduled for Feb. 13, one day before Super Bowl 61 and eight days before the Great American Race.

The Clash previously took place at Daytona from its 1979 inception to 2021. Each race through 2020 was run on the oval before the 2021 event moved to the road course.

2027’s will reportedly occur on the oval.

In 2022, the exhibition shifted to a quarter-mile layout inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. After three years there, it migrated back east, settling in for two go-arounds at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

NASCAR has not yet made an official announcement.
