Tennessee is home to one of the best NASCAR speedways in the country.

The race track was honored in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, a poll to find out which 10 NASCAR tracks produce some of the most exciting races.

Bristol took No. 9 in the 2025 poll.

The Bristol Motor Speedway is an interesting venue because it has one of the highest seating capacities of NASCAR race tracks, seating 160,000 seats, yet it has one of the shortest tracks at .533 miles.

The speedway hosts some of NASCAR's most prestigious races, including the Food City 500 and Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.

Where is Bristol, Tennessee?​


Bristol, Tennessee is in the northeast corner of the Volunteer State. The city is about an hour and 40 minutes drive from Knoxville on the Virginia and Tennessee state lines.

Will there be an MLB game at Bristol Motor Speedway?​


Yes. The Bristol Motor Speedway will transform into a baseball diamond in August to host an MLB game. The Cincinnati Reds will take on the Atlanta Braves in MLB Speedway Classic on Aug. 2.

Country singer Tim McGraw will perform a special pregame concert before the first pitch.
