The favorite was not successful in this horse race.
Napoleon Solo was victorious in the 151st running of the Preakness Stakes, beating favorite Taj Mahal at Laurel Park in Laurel, Maryland, on Saturday.
Taj Mahal, with trainer Brittany Russell, was a hometown favorite. He’s won all three of his races, and all were at Laurel.
Taj Mahal was leading for part of the race but was overtaken by Napoleon Solo.
This year, there’s no possibility of a Triple Crown. Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo didn’t race this time.
