Colt Keith FINALLY did it!
With the Detroit Tigers already leading the Minnesota Twins 5-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning, Keith stepped up to the plate and blasted his first home run of the 2026 season.
In case you were wondering, it took Keith a whopping 186 at-bats to hit his first dinger of the season.
After his blast, Keith immediately had a smile on his face as he rounded the bases, but when he got to the Tigers dugout, his teammates ignored him before finally erupting in celebration.
For Keith, the long-awaited home run was more than just another run on the scoreboard. After 185 at-bats without leaving the yard, the blast served as a welcome breakthrough for one of the Tigers’ key young players. If his reaction and the dugout’s celebration were any indication, everyone in Detroit was just as relieved as he was to finally see that first homer of 2026 clear the fence.
