More reports about purported Boston Celtics interest in trading for Milwaukee Bucks star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo (and by extension, doing so by dealing away star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown) are percolating up in the NBA media sphere. Most recently, rumbles that the Los Angeles Clippers might be a potential third team to take on Brown's contract in a three-team construction have been doused in cold water by multiple sources.

"They’ve been talking about a three-way deal where Jaylen Brown would be going from the Celtics, to the Clippers, and Giannis would be going to Boston," said ESPN senior reporter Marc J. Spears on a recent episode of "NBA Today". "From what I’m hearing Boston would certainly love to have Giannis but respectfully I don’t know if the Clippers feel the same about Jaylen and I don’t think from what I’ve been told have been any conversations there."

Bleacher Report contributor Jake Fischer echoed a similar sentiment in a recent video. "I made calls on that and I have been told that is not true, that Los Angeles has not looked into any real avenue here at all," said Fischer.

"At this juncture, I have been told repeatedly that the Clippers have every intention to stick around the No. 5 pick and make a selection," he added. "I believe the Clippers are standing pat, they have some room to potentially make a move in free agency and make a trade."

"But for now, the Clippers, to my understanding, are not looking to move that No. 5 pick, they are not trying to get involved in Giannis’ overall trade dynamic either."
