A reserve Spartans wide receiver has entered the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.
Austin Clay of Cleveland, Ohio has reportedly entered the transfer portal. Clay is a redshirt freshman wide receiver who did not see any game action during his lone season with the Spartans.
Clay was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class, and ranked as the No. 147 wide receiver prospect in the class. He was also ranked as the No. 42 player from Ohio in the class, according to 247Sports.
Clay was originally committed to Bowling Green during his recruitment, but flipped to the Spartans right ahead of early signing day in 2023.
