New Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald continues to make an impact on the recruiting trail by landing his 14th commit of the 2027 class in 4-star OT Caleb Johnson – the first 4-star, so far.

Johnson attends Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana and chose Michigan State over fellow B1G teams in Indiana and Iowa. He’s listed at 6’5” and 275 lbs, but also has experience playing the Center position. Fitzgerald’s five top recruits of the 2027 all belong to the trenches – Johnson is the third offensive lineman while DL Ohimai Ozolua and EDGE Lawrence Kanneh round out the top five.

With the 2027 class being the first MSU recruiting class for Fitzgerald, we can see he’s prioritizing the big guys on both sides of the ball – a pleasant sight to see after the last few years.
