Benfica coach Jose Mourinho said that his former club Real Madrid hasn't contacted him amid reports that he would join the Spanish giants this summer.
"No, no one from Real Madrid has talked to me, I can guarantee that," he said during a news conference on Friday.
He added that he wouldn't comment further on the matter and that it's well known his contract with Benfica still runs for another year.
Alvaro Arbeloa has been coaching Madrid since January but he's already under pressure after an early exit from the Copa del Rey and the Champions League elimination in the quarter-finals.
In La Liga, they sit 11 points behind leaders Barcelona, who can claim the title this weekend.
Mourinho coached Madrid between 2010 and 2013, winning the league title in 2012.
