After missing two games with an injury, Marie-Philip Poulin returned strong in Canada's 5-1 quarterfinal win over Germany.
Poulin scored Canada's fifth and final goal of the game, marking her 18th career Olympic goal. She is now just one goal away from holding the record for most Olympic goals in women's ice hockey history.

Most goals in Olympic Women's hockey history
Poulin scored her 18th Olympic goal on Saturday, tying Hayley Wickenheiser for the most in Olympic women's ice hockey history. Each member of the top five all played for team Canada, but Poulin is the only current member on the team in that group.

When did the the Olympics add women's hockey?
Women's ice hockey was added to the Winter Olympics in 1998, when the sport was played in the games held in Nagano, Japan. Every Winter Olympics since has had women's ice hockey as one of the events, with either Canada or the United states taking home each gold medal available.

Where does Marie-Philip Poulin play professionally?
Poulin currently plays for the Montreal Victoire in the PWHL. Poulin has spent her entire professional career in Montreal, first for the Montreal Stars/Lex Canadiennes de Montreal in the CWHL, then for Montreal's PWHPA team, before joining the new PWHL in 2023.
In between CWHL stints, Poulin did play college at Boston University from 2010 to 2015.
How old is Marie-Philip Poulin?
Marie-Philip Poulin is 34 years old and is currently playing in her fifth Winter Olympics. Poulin made her Olympic debut in 2010 at just 19, scoring both goals in Canada's gold-medal game win against the United States in Vancouver.
Since then, Poulin has played in every eligible Olympics, representing Canada in Sochi, Pyeongchang, Beijing, and now Milan-Cortina. In 2015, she was named captain of the Canadian women's ice hockey team at 24.
