They bailed before the SB. It's not about being a wimp, it's about being smart. If you have a nagging injury and you body makes you millions of dollars a year, why risk it fora nothing game? Lots of guys don't play in the PB.What whimps.

Ditto...Brady I can see it. I don't think Moss is hurt, unless you count his pride....
It is the 3 Pro Bowl NE offensive linemen that should be bailing on the trip.

Maybe, but that doesn't have anything to do with this: They made the announcement before they played the superbowl, people.Bunch of sore losers
No can do. I'm taking mine intravenously and the Hateraid nurse won't be back for another 30 minutes...Maybe, but that doesn't have anything to do with this: They made the announcement before they played the superbowl, people.
Put the hateraid down; this has zero to do with winning or losing the superbowl. It has everything to do with not risking injury in a meaningless game.

Moss has no excuse to miss.
I simply thought he was wussing out and didn't realize he was a FA.That's cool, but could you please let us know why you know more than the rest of us? Or is this just opinion?

I don't blame any player for backing out of the probowl. IMO, the NFL has become too violent a game to continue hosting this event. The players are so much bigger and faster than in the past. Add in the financial risk players are asked to take to compete in this meaningless game, and I don't think the cost/benefit of the thing is worth it.
I'd rather see the league host an Oscar-style awards ceremony instead. Keep the current voting for pro-bowl players, but the top two players at each position, from each from each league would make up the nominees. Winners would be announced at the event. Coach of the year, Rookie of the Year, Come-back player of the year could also be awarded at such an event. I'll bet it would get far better ratings than the probowl does.
Go Cards!!!
