What whimps.
They bailed before the SB. It's not about being a wimp, it's about being smart. If you have a nagging injury and you body makes you millions of dollars a year, why risk it fora nothing game? Lots of guys don't play in the PB.

Brady I can see it. I don't think Moss is hurt, unless you count his pride....

It is the 3 Pro Bowl NE offensive linemen that should be bailing on the trip.

I'd love to knock the Pats, but this was BEFORE the Super Bowl game.

Go Cards!

Bunch of sore losers
Maybe, but that doesn't have anything to do with this: They made the announcement before they played the superbowl, people.

Put the hateraid down; this has zero to do with winning or losing the superbowl. It has everything to do with not risking injury in a meaningless game.

No can do. I'm taking mine intravenously and the Hateraid nurse won't be back for another 30 minutes...

Actually, I would say Moss does have an excuse: His is a free agent and does not want to get hurt in the P.B.

That's cool, but could you please let us know why you know more than the rest of us? Or is this just opinion?

I don't blame any player for backing out of the probowl. IMO, the NFL has become too violent a game to continue hosting this event. The players are so much bigger and faster than in the past. Add in the financial risk players are asked to take to compete in this meaningless game, and I don't think the cost/benefit of the thing is worth it.

I'd rather see the league host an Oscar-style awards ceremony instead. Keep the current voting for pro-bowl players, but the top two players at each position, from each from each league would make up the nominees. Winners would be announced at the event. Coach of the year, Rookie of the Year, Come-back player of the year could also be awarded at such an event. I'll bet it would get far better ratings than the probowl does.

The Pro Bowl is a joke. They have to dumb down the rules. The best players dont want to play in it. They have playeda whole season beat up. Just cancel the Pro Bowl. I am not a fan of MLB All Star Game but at least they dont change the rules for the game.

As long as they players brought their hot wives and girlfriends in sexy and skimpy dresses I would say you are on to something.
