After taking a break over the the long holiday weekend, the Moneyball Pro-Am was back in action this week.
Tuesday, July 7th
Two of the three games on Tuesday ended with game-winners, including one from MSU’s own Jeremy Fears. The first game saw a 102-101 win for Team Tri-Star (Coen Carr, Jesse McCulloch) over Team Motorcars (Carlos Medlock, Anton Bonke) after a hook shot with one second left.
Game 2 saw Fears hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give Team LAFCU (Fears, Ethan Taylor) a 79-76 win over Team SPS (Jordan Scott, Julius Avent).
Game 3 ended in a blowout where Team Faygo (Jasiah Jervis, Cam Ward) clobbered Team BLT (Kaleb Glenn, Matthew Watkins) in a 100-76 beatdown.
Thursday, July 9th
In Game 1, Team Faygo held off Team LAFCU 83-82 after LAFCU missed their game-winning shot at the buzzer. Jasiah Jervis led the way for Faygo with 27 points.
Team Motorcars was able to defeat Team BLT 77-68 in Game 2. Carlos Medlock Jr had 25 points for the Motorcars while Kaleb Glenn led all players with 37 points.
We had another buzzer-beater in Game 3 where Team Tri-Star beat Team SPS in double OT with a 110-107 victory.
The Moneyball Pro-Am will pick back up on Tuesday night.
