Augusta National is officially closed for Monday.

The club announced that it will not reopen for patrons due to inclement weather that hit the Augusta area around 11:25 Monday morning. Patrons who purchased Monday practice round tickets will be refunded their price of admission in May, Augusta National confirmed. They will also be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase 2026 practice round tickets. More information will be provided to those patrons.

"We are disappointed our patrons could not fully enjoy today’s practice round, but the safety of everyone at Augusta National is our highest priority and was the determining factor in the decision to cancel,” said Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament. “We look forward to welcoming back our Monday patrons next year, as well as celebrating a wonderful 89th Masters Tournament ahead of us this week.”

Fortunately for patrons, the remainder of Masters week is promising. Little rain and comfortable temperatures are in the forecast.

Weather for Tuesday's Practice Round

Tuesday: The second practice round is still looking like a much prettier one. Sunny skies with little-to-no clouds (let alone rain) are likely, but it won't be too hot, with temperatures sitting at about 50 degrees first thing in the morning and only rising to about 67 degrees in the late afternoon. Winds will be around 7 mph with 13 mph winds.

What will the weather be like for the Par 3 Contest?

The Masters Tournament Par 3 Contest is Wednesday. It's looking like another lovely one with sunny skies and very little (if any) clouds. The morning might be a bit brisk with temperatures below 50 degrees before 10 a.m. warming to 66 degrees by the afternoon. Winds may be up to 9 mph with 16 mph gusts.

What will the weather be like for the Masters Tournament?

The Masters Tournament is Thursday through Sunday. Early reports indicated a very rainy Masters, but luckily, the forecasts have continued to improve as we get closer:

  • Thursday: Sunny skies with little to no clouds in the morning, gaining a bit more coverage after lunch. The early morning temps will be rather cool (less than 50) but will feel like 70 by noon. Morning winds will be 6 mph with 14 mph gusts, increasing in the afternoon to 8 mph with 18 mph.
  • Friday: The chances of rain are looking much better here than before. There is only a 20-40% chance of precipitation throughout the day. But whether or not it does, expect high humidity (especially in the morning) and mostly cloudy skies. The day will start with temperatures around 58 degrees and 67 by the afternoon. Morning winds will be 6 mph with 15 mph gusts, increasing in the afternoon to 9 mph with 18 mph.
  • Saturday: If there is any rain on Friday, it will likely be the last for the Masters. It's hard to say how the early morning will feel exactly with temperatures feeling like less than 55 degrees but high humidities. As the day progresses, with the temp rising and the humidity falling, reaching 67 degrees and 35% humidity by 4 p.m. Winds will be 7-9 mph with gusts of 14 mph. The skies will be partly cloudy.
  • Sunday: Sunny skies with little to no clouds all day. High humidity in the morning. Temperatures will feel like less than 50 degrees before 10 a.m. It should warm up a bit by lunch, but will only reach 69 degrees by 4 p.m. Winds will be around 6-7 mph with gusts of 12-13 mph.
