- After Jedd Fisch and company made good on their promise to put together one of the best recruiting classes in modern UW history, there’s lots of optimism about the incoming freshmen on the roster. The Seattle Times previews three freshmen to watch during spring football practices. Derek Colman-Brusa is right at the top of the list and the local product could make an impact immediately.
- Also at the Seattle Times, Matt Calkins dives into the gap between perception and reality in March Madness. While the financial model of college sports (and player movement) has been a major problem for virtually every program, March Madness remains one of the top sporting events on the American calendar.
- Christian Caple published an in-depth interview with Jedd Fisch about his own perception of the UW football program and college sports in general. Fisch again expressed optimism about what his staff is building for the Dawgs in terms of recruiting and long-term competitiveness in the B1G.
- Husky Softball did not have an easy time of it this weekend against Iowa, but the train rolled on. The Hawkeyes gave the Dawgs a couple of their toughest tests of their winning streak, but the Dawgs came out on top in all three games. They improved to 12-0 in conference and their 20 game winning streak remains active.
