I’ve got more Dots like you, what do I do?

• UW Football’s summer recruiting blitz continued over the weekend. The most concrete result was the commitment of California 4* safety Jaden Wall-Green. JWG has an insane resume, including enough baseball skill to potential play for the Dawgs, 10 interceptions last season, and six defensive touchdowns. Most importantly, he is the kicker and punter for his high school team. It’s like he was designed in a lab to be my favorite player.

• Christian Caple has his own breakdown of JWG’s commitment. Caple notes how well he fits with the current commitments in the class and how he will be a great complement in the secondary to the bigger Isala Asa Wily-Ava.

• In addition to Walk-Green, a big focus of the weekend was building out the offensive line class around interior OL commit Reis Russell. Early reports are optimistic on the Dawgs’ progress there, as well. Dawgman has a glowing trip report from legacy prospect Tye Kennedy. Recruiting analysts have been putting in crystal balls for three of the big visitors from the weekend, including Gecova Doyal and Rashaun Lavata’i in addition to Kennedy.

• Husky Men’s Basketball also made a notable addition over the weekend. Instead of a player, the Dawgs added DeAndre Haynes to the coaching staff. Haynes was a PG at Kent St before playing professionally in Europe for six years. He returned to Kent St as an assistant in ‘12 and has since had stops at Toledo, Michigan, Maryland, and Marquette.

• Just in case you felt like you weren’t getting enough soccer news in Seattle this month, the UW Men’s Soccer team released their 2026 schedule over the weekend. The Dawgs will open their National Championship defense at home against San Diego on the 20th of August.
