Shelton has lost 30 lbs........losing weight does not necessarily translate into being in shape however (just an aside).

If he has lost 30 lbs. then he is down to 305......and that may or may not be the right playing weight for him......I dunno.

I'm excited about Wendall. Again as a sidebar, do you all realize that he was JUST BARELY over the legal limit on his DUI (.11 vs. .08). He was really stopped for "failing to come to a complete stop".

Starks/KVB playing at 100% is very good news indeed.

When we were scoping out the draft, the year we picked Shelton as our 2nd first round pick, several prognosticators felt Shelton was best suited to play either RG or RT because he'd be an aggressive run blocker. So it wouldn't be far-fetched to eventually see him play over there.

Where things get dicey, though, is in trying to figure out team policy when it comes to tieing salary levels to the position you play. For example, LJ was being paid top dollar presumably because he was our left tackle. Now Leonard (who makes more than LJ) gets shifted to that position. Does this mean the Cards would rather release or trade LJ rather than pay him left tackle money to play on the right side?

I hope not. I'd rather see our team play the best player at each position and ignore salary issues til the off-season - salary issues can always be addressed and hopefully readjusted then or when a new contract comes up. But meanwhile, play the best guys regardless of what they make.
