The Houston Rockets are expected to make frontcourt upgrades this offseason to improve their roster around the core of Kevin Durant. Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. For this reason, many have speculated that Jabari Smith Jr. could be on the move or perhaps Tari Eason if the two sides are unable to reach a contract extension.
In a recent article by Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report, Hughes proposed that Houston would move on from both Eason and Smith Jr. in favor of 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis. In the proposed deal, Houston would receive Davis in return for Jabari Smith Jr., Dorian Finney-Smith, Tari Eason and a 2027 second-round pick.
Although this deal would give up some of Houston's youth, the acquisition of Davis would make the Rockets quite threatening in the Western Conference when at full health. Either way, between a trade for Davis, Jaylen Brown or another star, the Rockets seem likely to make a big move this summer.
