Former Terp Juju Reese continues to light up NBA courts when given the chance for the struggling Washington Wizards
Reese played 30 minutes against the Utah Jazz and logged 26 points on 12-of-16 shooting, leading all scorers. He also finished with a game-high 17 rebounds while adding one steal and one block.

Much of Reese’s damage occurred in the first half, where he scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He became just the second Wizards rookie ever to record a double-double before halftime, joining John Wall (11 points, 10 assists on Jan. 17, 2011) in the distinction.
This was just Reese’s second game for the Wizards in the last 17 days, as he has moved down the pecking order with the return of forward Tristan Vukcevic and center Alex Sarr from injury. But both were dealing with lingering effects and were ruled out Wednesday — that gave Reese room to emphatically return to a starting role.
