The 2026 MLB season is gearing up for week eleven. Through the first ten weeks, numerous players have gotten off to fast starts. There have been front-runners for All-Star selections, early cases for season-long awards, as well as rookies quickly making a name for themselves in the Majors. Heading into week eleven, here are the top 10 catchers in the league.

Baldwin is having a fantastic start to the season. He’s not only a league leader at the catching position but one of the offensive leaders on the Atlanta Braves. He’s still weeks away from returning from an oblique injury, but hopefully, he picks up where he left off upon returning to Atlanta’s lineup.

2. Shea Langeliers, Athletics

Entering the week, Langeliers leads MLB catchers in hits. He’s produced a high number of extra-base hits. He leads the Athletics in at-bats, hits, home runs, total bases, and slugging percentage.

3. Liam Hicks, Miami Marlins

Hicks is on his way to representing the National League in the All-Star game. The Miami catcher’s production has been consistent, already has double-digit home runs and is leading MLB catchers in RBI. Liam Hicks leads the Marlins in home runs and RBI.

4. William Contreras, Milwaukee Brewers

The veteran has helped the Brewers to the top of the National League Central. Entering the week, Contreras leads the Brewers in RBI. Among MLB catchers, he ranks third in on-base percentage.

5. Dillon Dingler, Detroit Tigers

Dingler put his power on display last week. Entering week eleven, Dingler ranks tied for third in home runs among MLB catchers. Detroit’s offense has struggled, but Dillon Dingler has been one of the team’s main producers and the only Tigers hitter reaching double-digit home runs.

6. Ryan Jeffers, Minnesota Twins

Jeffers got off to a hot start before undergoing hand surgery on May 19th. The Minnesota catcher is set to miss the next two months of the season. The veteran was having a career year before this disappointing injury.

7. Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles

Rutschman is continuing his rejuvenated season. Entering the week, he is one of two MLB catchers with almost as many walks as strikeouts. The ability to reach base has played a role in his bounce-back season.

8. Samuel Basallo, Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore rookie is making a name for himself. Producing on par with his scouting report, Samuel Basallo has displayed power while being a free swinger. By the end of the season, the rookie can reach 30 home runs.

9. Hunter Goodman, Colorado Rockies

Goodman has been a true two-outcome hitter. Entering the week, Goodman is tied for second in home runs among MLB catchers. Unfortunately, he leads MLB catchers in strikeouts.

10. Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals

Early into the season, the veteran has been all or nothing. He’s either hitting home runs or striking out. Entering the week, Perez is tied for first among Royals hitters in home runs.
