More than 3,800 Missouri student archers from 304 schools recently competed in the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP) State Archery Championship.
The competition took place March 18-21 at the Branson Convention Center in Branson, according to a community announcement.
The event was sponsored and coordinated by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation (MCHF).
Student archers competed in various divisions based on grade and gender.
The event featured two main competitions: bullseye and 3D archery.
Some participants chose to compete in both.
Archers who ranked in the top 10 for their division, as well as the top-ranked schools, will have the opportunity to move on to the Eastern or Western National Archery in the Schools (NASP) tournaments.
The western national tournament is scheduled for April 23-25 in Sandy, Utah, while the eastern national tournament will take place May 7-9 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Top teams and individuals will be selected from the combined results of both national tournaments to qualify for the championship event.
The top individual winners will compete for the NASP Scholarship Shoot-Off at the Championship Tournament on June 18-20 in Dayton, Florida.

- High School Female: Violetta Fahreev scored 293 at Republic High School.
- High School Male: Jack Schollmeyer scored 294 at Chamois High School.
Top schools in the bullseye competition were:
- Elementary School: George Guffey Elementary with a score of 3,235.
- Middle School: Sarcoxie Middle School with a score of 3,343.
- High School: Hillsboro High School with a score of 3,441.

- Overall Top Male: Luke Scheulen scored 296 out of 300 at Osage County R-2.
- Overall Top Female: Greyson Bart scored 289 out of 300 for Southwest Missouri Homeschool Archers.

- Elementary Male: Hudson Moppin scored 275 at North Andrew Elementary School.

- Middle Male: Luke Scheulen scored 296 at Osage County R-2.
- High School Female: Natalie Yates scored 289 at Festus High School.
- High School Male: Jake Sloan scored 295 at Platte County High School.
Top schools in the 3D competition were:
- Elementary School: Siegrist Elementary with a score of 1,564.
- Middle School: Sarcoxie Middle School with a score of 1,680.
- High School: Hillsboro High School with a score of 1,739.
