Hickory starter A.J. Russell struck out five in 3.2 shutout innings. In his last five outings, he has allowed two runs in 15.1 innings, striking out 25 and walking five. He may be heading for Hub City soon.

Louis Marinaro struck out two in 2.1 scoreless innings. Jormy Nivar struck out five and walked one in three shutout innings.

Daniel Flames had two doubles and a walk. Paulino Santana had a hit. Yolfran Castillo doubled and walked. Angel Arredondo had a pair of hits. Marco Argudin was 2 for 5 with a double. Dewar Tovar had a hit. Curly Martha was 2 for 3.

Hickory box score

Ismael Agreda starter for Hub City, allowing three runs in 4.2 IP, striking out four and walking five. Case Matter allowed four runs in 1.1 IP, including a pair of homers, walking one and striking out one.

Gleider Figuereo was 3 for 5 with a double and a homer. Eduardo Mejia was 2 for 4 with a pair of stolen bases. Yeison Morrobel was 3 for 6 with a homer. Hector Osorio had a hit.

Hub City box score

For Frisco, Malcolm Moore doubled and walked. Dylan Dreiling had a pair of hits. Arturo Disla homered.

Round Rock starter Josh Stephan allowed seven runs in 4.1 IP, striking out five, walking one and giving up a pair of homers. Ryan Lobus, newly promoted to AAA, allowed two runs in 1.2 IP, walking one. Luis Curvelo allowed a run in an inning of work, walking one. Josh Sborz struck out two in a scoreless inning.

Cam Cauley was 2 for 5 with a homer. Josh Smith was 1 for 4 with a walk and a stolen base.
