Winning the Super Bowl will make New England Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams smile.

Williams has been to two Super Bowls in his career. The 26-year-old lost in Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Williams won Super Bowl LIX with the Eagles in a rematch against the Chiefs. Having tasted victory, as well as defeat on the NFL’s highest stage, both experiences have stuck with Williams as he pursues his second Super Bowl win on Sunday.

According to NBC 10’s Nicole Menner, Williams touched on what it feels like to win, as well as lose the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

“Losing the Super Bowl definitely sucks,” Williams said regarding the Eagles’ 38-35 loss to the Chiefs in 2023.

Williams played just 12 defensive snaps in the big game in 2023. The Louisiana Tech product stepped into a larger role for Philadelphia as they worked their way to a Super Bowl victory two years later.

“Winning it is probably one of the greatest feelings in the world,” Williams said when recounting his first win. “You’re on top of the world. When you put a lot of work in, to get to this moment, and to finally see it pay off. Dreams come true in this moment. It’s special.”

Williams recorded two sacks, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble in Philadelphia’s 40-22 triumph over Kansas City for the 2024 NFL season’s championship crown. The five-year veteran has two sacks in the 2025 playoffs. Williams looks to add to his resume with a smile-inducing win on Sunday.
