He is the second prospect to choose the Spartans during the visit weekend, joining Georgia cornerback Cordaro Parham who committed Friday.

Kanneh, a three-star prospect out of Whitehall Yearling in Columbus, Ohio, ranks 65th among the class of 2027’s edge rushers according to 247Sports and 71st in the 247Sports Composite. He is described as a quick learner, which is a trait defensive coordinator Joe Rossi values in building his group.Kanneh is the 11th scholarship player to commit to the Spartans’ 2027 recruiting class, and the 12th player overall counting the pledge of preferred walk-on receiver Brendan Fitzgerald, son of head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Of those 12 players, eight play on the defensive side of the ball including Kanneh.

The 6-foot-4 and 220-pound defensive end chose Michigan State over 11 other offers, including Virginia and Boise State. He was recruited by defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere and rush ends coach Andrew Bindelglass.
