The Big Ten Tournament did not go as planned for Michigan State basketball.

Next up for the Spartans is the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Where and when? That will be known in the evening Sunday, March 15.

No. 8 MSU (25-7) has been projected for a week to earn a 2-seed, but Tom Izzo’s team is hovering around the 3-seed line after its 88-84 loss to UCLA in the conference tournament quarterfinals Friday night. The opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament begin with the First Four on Tuesday and Wednesday in Dayton, with the eight host first- and second-round sites beginning play Friday and Saturday.

Here is one final look at how things shape up for Izzo’s record-extending 28th straight NCAA Tournament appearance before the pairings are revealed at 6 p.m. on CBS.
