Michigan’s baseball team, which endured a late-season fade, has missed the NCAA Tournament for a fourth straight season.

The NCAA released the Tournament bracket on Monday.

Michigan looked like it was going to make the Tournament after winning seven straight Big Ten series, but was then swept in Ann Arbor by Ohio State in a three-game series to end the regular season. The Wolverines were 34-24, and they last time they made the NCAA field was in 2022 when they earned the automatic bid by winning the Big Ten Tournament.

“Proud of our fight this season!” the Michigan baseball social media account shared on Monday. “From 37 contests away from home to winning 7 of our 10 conference series, there is a lot to be proud of this year!”

In the Big Ten Tournament, Michigan defeated Rutgers, 10-0, in Game 1 but then lost two of the next three. The Wolverines’ season ended with a 6-4 loss to Nebraska in the quarterfinals.
