Michael Pittman Jr. sounds excited to be a Pittsburgh Steeler.
After getting traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the Steelers on Monday, Pittman fired off a flurry of posts on X. After congratulating former teammate Alec Pierce on his big extension with the Colts, the veteran wrote “BLACK AND GOLD!!!!!!” after the trade news broke.
In a follow-up post, he revealed a premonition that his wife, Kianna, had about him joining the Steelers.
“Crazy! My wife @KiannaPittman_ had a dream a month ago I was wearing a Steelers jersey. God works in crazy ways! #SteelCity,” he wrote. Apparently, it was meant to be.
Pittman also shared a photoshopped image of him in a Steelers jersey with four fire emojis and reposted the trade news from the NFL’s X account.
It’s good to see that the 28-year-old is so pumped to join Pittsburgh. He may not know who his quarterback will be yet, but that’s okay. He’s worked with several different QBs over the years, including Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, Anthony Richardson, Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers.
Through it all, he’s always produced, establishing himself as one of the league’s most reliable receivers. That’s a good sign for the Steelers’ offense, regardless of who’s under center for them next season.
He’ll also have D.K. Metcalf to take some of the pressure off him, similar to how Pierce helped him carry the receiving load in Indianapolis.
