Michael Malone is still assembling his staff in North Carolina.
The former NBA champion coach is adding former Tar Heel Brandon Robinson, who played on the 2017 national championship team under Roy Williams. Since leaving Chapel Hill, Robinson picked up both college and NBA coaching experience. He returns as an experienced addition to Malone's staff, according to TarHeel247.
Robinson joins Chuck Martin, Sean May, Pat Sullivan, and Bryan Tibaldi on Malone's staff. He had previous NBA stops with the Charlotte Hornets and Utah Jazz. One year after his playing career, Robinson joined former UNC coach Hubert Davis' staff as a grad assistant.
Malone has spent a good amount of his time scouting and recruiting before the upcoming season. He has been overseas and is reportedly on the verge of landing a few international players for the Tar Heels roster.
As of now, UNC will have about four solid spots to fill in the coming weeks. We'll see Malone's recruiting power at work and how everything comes together.
