Michael Jordan watched as Tyler Reddick delivered the Daytona 500 for 23XI Racing, earning one of NASCAR’s most prestigious trophies. The Harley J. Earl trophy marked a defining moment for the organisation.

In the immediate aftermath of the race, Jordan acknowledged he was overwhelmed by the result. He described the achievement as deeply gratifying.

“I can’t even believe it. It was so gratifying. We had four guys that were really fighting, they was helping each other out.”

Jordan explained that the closing stages demanded resilience and cooperation from multiple drivers. He said the team’s strategy and persistence positioned them to capitalise late on.

“I mean, you never know how these races are gonna end, right? It’s like, just try to survive, right? I thought Riley did an unbelievable job pushing at the end.”

The scale of the victory led Jordan to reflect on his championship background in basketball. As a six-time NBA champion, he understands the significance of major titles.

He said the Daytona 500 triumph produced a similar emotional response. Jordan made clear how meaningful the success was from an ownership standpoint.

“Look, I’m ecstatic, I don’t even know what to say, it feels like I won a championship, but until I get my ring, I won’t even know.”

Jordan also highlighted the collective contribution behind the win. He emphasised that teamwork was central to the outcome.

“That shows you what teamwork can really, really do. He doesn’t get enough credit, he won’t get enough credit, but we feel the love.”

“We understand exactly what he did. I mean, we just hung in there all day. Great strategy by the team, and we gave ourselves a chance at the end.”

The victory strengthens 23XI Racing’s growing reputation within NASCAR’s top series. For Jordan, it represents a milestone that he views through the same lens as his celebrated achievements on the basketball court.
