The Miami Dolphins have added a veteran defensive end/edge rusher who once was a top five NFL Draft pick.

Clelin Ferrell, whom the Las Vegas Raiders made the fourth overall pick in 2019, was signed two days before the first practice of training camp. Ferrell, 29, who won the Ted Hendricks Award (as the nation's top defensive end) in 2018 and helped Clemson win a national championship in 2016, lasted four seasons with the Raiders. He has played for four different teams in the last three seasons.

Ferrell has appeared in 98 career games with 57 starts in seven seasons. He has 181 tackles, 21 sacks, 12 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
