While none of the names on this list are too terribly surprising, McLendon, Maitre and Johnson were with the club in 2025. Unfortunately for Maitre and Johnson, each suffered major injuries that not only impacted last season, but seem to have impacted the start to their 2026 seasons as well.
The Dolphins will now turn their attention to rookie minicamp which begins on May 8th and goes through May 9th — this Friday and Saturday. The team drafted players at linebacker — Jacob Rodriguez and Kyle Louis — and at tight end — Will Kacmarek — plus at EDGE rusher — Trey Moore and Max Llewellyn, so attempting to fill the void left by Monday’s releases will begin in short order.
We will continue to keep you updated with all things Miami Dolphins as the major rebuild of the organization continues through the offseason.
