Every year during camp and the pre-season, whether during the time that the acutal training camp is in full swing or on the final roster cut down day, to reach the mandatory 53-man limit, the Miami Dolphins inevitably part ways with a player who fans and media expected to make the final roster. These players rarely clear waivers to join the practice squad, as they are typically claimed by another NFL club almost immediately. While some of these cuts are disappointing, others are met with nothing more than a collective shrug from the fanbase.

Which player currently expected by the media and fan base to make the Miami Dolphins’ final 53-man roster do you believe will be a surprise cut ahead of the 2026-2027 NFL season, and why? If you foresee multiple surprise cuts, please identify all of them and explain your reasoning.
