The Miami Dolphins are hiring Sean Duggan as defensive coordinator.

Duggan, 32, was linebackers coach for the Green Bay Packers last season.

Duggan worked closely with new Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley, who plans to call Miami’s defensive plays.

Duggan succeeds Anthony Weaver, who did not land a head coaching job this cycle. Thus, Miami is not in line for any league-issued compensatory picks.

Duggan has also coached at Boston College, where he played.

Hafley has filled out the majority of his first Dolphins coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who will be retained.
