It is not too early to start thinking about the 2027 season, particularly with the Mets scuffling to a record of 40-57 at the All-Star break.

Major League Baseball announced its 2027 schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Mets will open the campaign on the road on March 25 at the Miami Marlins before playing their first home game of the season a little more than a week later against the San Francisco Giants on April 2 at Citi Field.

Unlike this season, the Mets will see each of their NL East foes at least once before the calendar reaches June. Of course, there are the looming labor negotiations, which will need to be hatched out this offseason to make sure this slate does in fact come to fruition.

Here are a few of the highlights in the Mets' 2027 season:

For the second time in five seasons, the Mets will open their season at loanDepot Park. This time, the Mets will remain in the Sunshine State after spring training to take on the Marlins across a three-game series beginning on March 25. The two sides will have an off day on Friday, March 26, followed by the two final games of the series on March 27 and 28. The Mets will then head to Washington, D.C., for the second series of the year against the Nationals.
